How to do Supta Virasana - Reclined Hero Pose. Iyengar Yoga Tutorial. Many of our students struggle with Supta Virasana, which is a restorative asana which is used for aiding digestion, the immune system, improving heart and lung function as well as helping to correct flat feet and restless legs syndrome. If you have lower back pain, ask the advice of a qualified Iyengar yoga teacher so that you learn how to practice this pose safely. This is a 10 minute online yoga tutorial to show you how to work towards the final action in this pose. This can be a demanding yoga pose, so this is more for intermediate yoga students rather than beginners or those who are still quite stiff. You need to master Virasana, Hero Pose before attempting Supta Virasana. There are a lot of yoga props listed below, but not everyone will need this much equipment to do the pose. The equipment you might need for this yoga Tutorial are:
yoga mat
3 x blankets
1 x yoga bolster
6 x yoga pads
