Evenness in Balance - Iyengar Yoga Class for Beginners. This yoga sequence focuses on how to create symmetry and alignment in poses, whether they are essentially intrinsically evenly balanced or challenging the balance by extending one side of the body more than the other. This attention to the body in these two conditions brings focus and concentration, which are key components of mindfulness. This yoga lesson can be practiced by itself by beginners to Iyengar yoga, or if you are more of an intermediate iyengar student and are regularly doing head balance and shoulder balance in your practice, you can add the inversion sequence
Last week we did a tutorial on Virabhadrasana III, (Warrior 3 pose) and this week we develop the theme of evenness in balance in this 15 minute yoga sequence.
